With a background in molecular biology, it probably wasn’t a clear path for Peter Heding to choose pipe making as his trade. But his attraction to handcraft and artistic disciplines made him change his career to pipe-making in 2003. And for that we are truly grateful.
Peter Heding pipes are of the very highest quality and it is obvious that the pipes have undergone the utmost care throughout the process of creating them. Peter makes about 150 pipes a year, all of which are nurtured into being from his sensitivity to the materials and formation of the pipes.

Peter Heding pipes are not only functional works of art but are indeed 100% freehand made, which gives them an organic and natural quality in feel and look. Peter often integrates exotic woods, bamboo and ivory into his pipes, making each one a unique and special testimony to his love of the craft.
