David Huber is an American pipe maker who creates all his pipes in his workshop in Durham, NC. He started smoking the pipe in 2006 and has studied especially Danish, Japanese and Russian freehand. At the time he was working as a freelance designer.
David Huber is an American pipe maker who creates all his pipes in his workshop in Durham, NC. He started smoking the pipe in 2006 and has studied especially Danish, Japanese and Russian freehand. At the time he was working as a freelance designer.
In 2010 he started carving his own pipes and got hooked right away and by 2014 he changed his career and became an artisan pipe maker.
He primarily uses briar burl and German ebonite and occasionally he uses exotic adornments like boxwood, African Paduk, horn, bamboo, acrylic and bakelite.
Each pipe is carefully crafted to the highest standards.
